ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY (EHS)

There is a commitment to plan and manage the business to ensure that the company's operations do not have an adverse impact on the environment. It is our belief that good HSE is an integral part of efficient and profitable business management.

Techno oil has a policy to conduct its business in a manner that protects the safety of employees, contractors and the general public.

Employees are actively involved in safety committees and work with management to monitor performance, investigate incidents and promote high level of safety awareness. Emergency response teams hold regular exercises at work.

Maintain good relationship with host communities as well as enhance security of life and equipment.

Corporate Social Responsibity

Our policy and culture on Corporate Social Responsibility is to go beyond charity as the usual practice by companies. We recognize that building a brand name does not depend only on quality, price and uniqueness but how cumulatively they interact with our workforce, community and environment. We try our best to make a difference in the community in which we operate and contribute positively to poverty alleviation with our contractor engagement policies that encouraged participation by our host communities.

Training and Development

The company pays reasonable attention to the development of its manpower. The strength and real source of wealth creation is the knowledge, skill, creativity and commitment of the employees. Pursuant to this, the company regularly send staff to Lagos Business  School, Philips consulting for management and leadership training as well as Overseas for Technical training in addition to in-house local training  arranged periodically for its low and middle staff where necessary.

Welfare of Employees

The success achieved during the last 10 years may not have been realised without total commitment of the Board of Directors to Manpower Development. They are the key success factor in our operations and their utmost well being and skill continue to be of paramount importance to the company. Staff are adequately motivated for superior performance. In addition, competitive salaries are paid, Pension scheme and Health plan  implemented as well as 10% staff ownership of Techno Oil Limited shares.
