Techno Oil Keeps Hope Alive for Lagos Orphanage 

Lagos, Dec. 3, 2007:  Techno Oil Ltd has donated various items worth thousands of naira to the Hope Foundation Orphanage in Lekki, Lagos, to keep hope alive for the inmates of the orphanage.

"Part of our corporate social responsibility is to identify with the needy, the less privileged and the hapless segment of the society at all times,’’ the Chief Executive Officer of Techno Oil Ltd, Mrs. Nkechi Obi, told newsmen in Lagos at the weekend, shortly after the management of the company visited the orphanage.

"The visit has made us to see and feel the difficulties faced by the inmates of the orphanage and we have responded to some of their needs in line with the corporate policy of Techno Oil to be our brother’s keeper at all times,’’ she stated.

Obi said that the visit had also revealed that the orphanage needed urgent attention, pleading with corporate bodies and wealthy individuals not to allow the dream of the founders of the orphanage to die.

The orphanage was founded by the late Rev. FR. Patrick Adegbite, who was murdered by unknown gunmen in Lagos recently.

Among the items donated to the orphanage are food stuffs, household utensils, beverages, detergents and baby care products, ``to make the inmates to have a sense of belonging to a society that cares for them’’.    

The Techno Oil Chief Executive said that the company was poised to make more positive contributions to the growth of the economy and the nation as it launches four new motor oils ``proudly made in Nigeria’’ at the Muson Centre in Lagos on Dec. 12.
``Techno Oil has become an integrated oil company, offering premium services to both the industrial and retail markets in Nigeria and the West African sub-region,’’ she said, describing the launch of the motor oils as a special gift to the country to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the company.

Obi said that the formal presentation of the products was also to make users of the products to voice their testimonies on the products and to share knowledge with experts on issues relating to the downstream petroleum sector in general.

The Governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi and the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwanu Akiolu 11, are among dignitaries, who are to grace the launching of the Techno Oil Motor Oils.
